Privacy Notice

Ascend Fitness ("we") is the data controller for personal data processed via Ascend.

Data we collect

• Account: username, password hash, optional display name and birthday.
• Billing email (if you provide one) for receipts.
• Scans and photos you upload, and AI-generated ratings/summaries.
• Usage and device data (IP, browser, timestamps) for security and product improvement.

Why we process it

To provide the Service (contract performance), keep it secure and prevent fraud (legitimate interests), comply with law, and — where applicable — with your consent.

Sharing

We share data with: hosting and analytics subprocessors; Paddle (our Merchant of Record) for sale, billing, tax compliance, and invoicing; professional advisers; and authorities where required by law.

Retention

We retain data while your account is active and delete or anonymise it when no longer needed.

Your rights

You may access, correct, export, or delete your data. Email privacy@ascend.app and we'll respond within one month.

Security

We use encryption in transit, access controls, and row-level security on the database.
